3. Anticoagulant Medications & Cranberry Juice

4. Cholesterol Medications & Grapefruit

5. Blood Pressure Medications & Bananas

However, potassium overdose can cause heart issues, like irregularities in the heartbeat and palpitations. Bananas are one of the foods that have the highest level of potassium.

6. Tetracycline Antibiotics & Dairy Products

Tetracycline antibiotics are usually prescribed for treating acne and rosacea. Dairy products are high in calcium, and due to this mineral, they can hinder the proper absorption of these antibiotics, and therefore impede their effectiveness. Furthermore, these medications should be taken at least two hours before having a meal, so that proper absorption is possible.

7. Bacterial Infections Medications & Curing Food


Avoid this food if you take any medications for bacterial infections because this type of food contains amino acid tyramine, which can cause harmful spikes in blood pressure. Smoked, fermented, or cured meat, like salami and dry sausages, are high in amino acid tyramine. It is also contained in alcohol, processed cheese, avocados, bananas, and chocolate.
