Having smelly feet can be quite embarrassing for the person and quite unpleasant for the people around them.

Some people are just concerned about the smell and not the bacteria that come from the sweat of the feet, the bacteria feeds off of the moisture.

The below soaks not only prevent the stench, but also serve as a proper pamper for your feet after a long day on them.

  1. Simple Epsom Salt Foot Soak

To get rid of the odor, sooth painful feet and clean your body’s magnesium levels, take care of all of that with Epson salt.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Epsom salt
  • 8 cups of warm water
  • A large enough container to put your feet in comfortably

Instructions

  1. Add the 8 cups of water to the ½ cup of Epson salt
  2. Soak your feet one to two times a day for 30 minutes altogether
  3. Dry them thoroughly after done
  1. Sage and Rosemary Soak

Sage is a good method to get rid and prevent you feet from smelling. Sage has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. Rosemary also has these same properties and both combined will work together to stop the sweating of the feet.

Ingredients

  • 1 TSP-Dried Rosemary
  • 1 ½ TSP-Dried Sage
  • A container big enough to fit both feet comfortably

Instructions

  1. Add the herbs to a pot of boiling water
  2. Wait until it cool a little, enough that your feet aren’t burning
  3. Soak your feet one to two times daily adding up to 30 minutes a day
  4. Dry them thoroughly after done

Baking soda gets rid of bacteria’s and fungus on the feet it also controls the odor; a plus of baking soda is that it makes the skin really soft. The lemon helps with in astringent and provides a great smell.

  • 8 cups of warm water
  • Juice of one lemon
  • A container big enough to fit both feet comfortably

Instructions

  1. Put baking soda in a container and put water in the container
  2. Squeeze the lemon juice in and mix
  3. Soak your feet for about 15-20 minutes
  4. Dry them thoroughly after done

Vinegar has a strong smell that doesn’t go well with most people but it’s a wonderful way to take that horrible smell away. Vinegar creates an acidic environment making it impossible for bacteria to survive.

  • 1/2 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 5-8 cups of warm water
  • A container big enough to fit both feet comfortably

Instructions

  1. Add vinegar to a container, fill it with water and mix well
  2. Soak your feet for 15 minutes twice daily
  3. Rinse them with cold water
  4. Dry them completely
  1. Black Tea Foot Soak

Tea contains tannins. Tannins are a type of plant polyphenol that act as astringents. The tea plant has naturally high tannin content, and when its leaves are steeped in hot water they release the tannins which produce the tart flavor of tea. This tartness which we feel as a dry, puckering mouth-feel is due to the astringent characteristic of tannins.

  • 5 bags of black tea
  • 4 cups of hot water
  • A container big enough to fit both feet comfortably

Instructions

  1. In a foot basin, pour in boiling water and then add the tea.
  2. Let the tea steep for 10 minutes and then allow it to cool down.
  3. Soak your feet once a day for 20 minutes.
  4. Dry them completely.
